E.P.A. Moves to Curb Public Input on Data Centers

The Environmental Protection Agency has advanced a new regulatory proposal. This proposal focuses specifically on air pollution permits. Under the new plan, states would no longer need to act. States would no longer provide public notice regarding these permits. Nor would they solicit comments from local communities. The change applies directly to data centers. It also applies to various other industrial projects. The initiative effectively reduces opportunities for public input.
