South Korea’s SMEs Ministry and KIPO to Launch Smart Manufacturing Technology Roadmap

South Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced a partnership with the Korean Intellectual Property Office. The two agencies will jointly develop a “Smart Manufacturing Strategic Technology Roadmap.” The roadmap aims to guide the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies. It will focus on integrating automation, data analytics, and AI into production lines. The initiative seeks to boost the competitiveness of small and medium‑size enterprises. Officials expect the plan to foster innovation and export growth. Stakeholders will be consulted throughout the drafting process. Implementation is slated for the coming fiscal year.
